IMPORTANT NOTICE
South Africa is in now in stage 4 of lockdown. Regarding Steenbok Nature Reserve it is still closed to the public. This means the only thing allowed in the Reserve is rainfall and our natural flora and fauna. We will keep the public updated if the situation changes. Please stay safe, practice social distancing and above all follow the rules set out by our Government.
Rainfall in April was 27mm. Truth be told the last three months have been disappointing, with figures consistently below last year’s and the ten year average. Where it not for the record breaking 182 mm in January, our year to-date figures would not be well below par.
