You’re never too young to learn

Steenbok Nature Reserve recently hosted a walkabout with a  small group of enthusiastic preschoolers and parents.  With the help of our educational booklet “Look Deep into Nature” the energetic group were tasked with finding insects and butterflies populate the the flowers and shrubs in Steenbok during the winter months.

The children walked from the Main Entrance, along the paved pathway to the Milkwood tree at the Harbor Entrance.  They found butterflies, tasted indigenous berries and fruit, learned about scented shrubs and flowers and were also treated to a rare sighting of a Knysna Dwarf Chameleon.
