Municipality helping out in Steenbok Nature Reserve

A huge thank you to the Knysna Municipal Parks Department staff who worked in Steenbok this week.  Meetings and discussions were held with both management and staff to agree on procedures to be followed, to align with our own garden services provider,  and to ensure the character of the Reserve would be enhanced.

Prudence and her team removed obstructive branches and pruned vegetation from the Indigenous Gardens.

Goodman and team mowed the grass edges of the paved pathway, as well as the grassed paths and the outer perimeter of the Reserve. With their skillful assistance we are trying to maintain a balance between mowed and natural areas.

Thanks also to our Friends and visitors who have been very supportive and of all the hard work these teams do in Steenbok Nature Reserve. Lunches and refreshments were provided to the teams to welcome them back after a long lockdown, and to show them our appreciation.
