Senecio deltoideus

Senecio is a large genus of annual or perennial herbs, shrubs, small trees and vines classified within the daisy family.

This is a soft-leafed climber with zigzag branching. The leaves are toothed and deltoids (simple leaf which is not divided into parts). The flower heads appear in rounded or flat-topped clusters surrounded by five bracts 2-4 mm diam. They are arranged in corymbose panicles, meaning that the flowers are growing in such a way that the outermost are borne on longer stalks than the inner, bringing all flowers up to a common level.
