Small waterside kingfisher with red bill, black in juvenile. Crown banded black and green-blue, rump azure-blue, throat white, cheeks and underparts rufous. Occasionally seen perching in vegetation on the water’s edge of Leisure Isle searching for fish, aquatic insects, small crustaceans, tadpoles, small frogs and lizards.
