There are 45 trees found in the Park and the Creek. The majority are indigenous to the Western Cape with the balance being imports from other parts of South Africa and 5 classified as invaders. The Creek area is truly representative of Western Cape thicket whilst elsewhere on the northern shores of Leisure Isle a number of Western Cape forest and mountain type trees have been introduced over the years.
We wish to thank Chris Gow for his invaluable assistance in identifying the different species that are featured below in alphabetical order.
